What is Title 1?
Title I is a federally funded program that is part of the Every Child Succeeds Act of 2015. This year is a transition year between the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 and the Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015. The goal of the Title I program is to help students meet challenging state content and student performance standards. Funding is provided to districts and schools with high numbers or high percentages of children from low-income families.
Desert View, Overland & Stagecoach have Title I Schoolwide programs. Walnut, Westridge, Northpark and Desert Elementary has a Title I Targeted Assistance program.What does Title I Mean? (English)
