Parent Corner and PTO
The Desert View Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) plays an essential role in supporting students, staff, and families. PTO Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 3:30pm in the Desert View Library, and all parents and teachers are warmly invited to attend. We encourage participation as we work together to enhance student achievement, foster staff morale, and create a positive school community.
Our PTO volunteers their time for organizing and supporting many of the special activities and opportunities that make Desert View a wonderful place to learn and grow. Some of these include:
- Fundraisers such as our Cowboy Jerky Fundraiser and World's Finest Chocolate Fundraiser, which provide vital resources for our school.
- Family Events including Trunk or Treat, Family Engagement Nights, and Bingo for Books, which bring our school community together in fun and meaningful ways.
- Educational Support through events like Book Fairs, which promote literacy and help provide books for classrooms and homes.
- Student Celebrations such as class parties for Accelerated Reader and other fun incentives that encourage students to reach their goals.
- School Spirit Gear is provided to every student and staff member, and is also available for purchase throughout the year.
- Parent Involvement Opportunities, include volunteering to read to students, assisting with family engagement events, supporting classroom celebrations, helping with fundraisers, and lending a hand at other PTO-sponsored events.
Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our PTO! These programs and many others continue to make a lasting impact on our school and help to create lasting connections between families and classrooms.
